Smart-cow startup, Halter is a solar-powered, GPS-enabled collar for cows which enables farmers to shift, manage and monitor their herds remotely. Launching initially on farms within the Waikato, Lomas Kerr was tasked to introduce and raise awareness of Halter to potential new farmers within this very targeted region.
By researching the audience to learn their specific media appetite and habits, we were able to highlight specific journalists and have an overall concise campaign. To encourage interest in Halter we offered exclusive interviews with the founder and hosted journalists on the Halter test farm to really show off this incredible tech. Campaign highlights included Waikato Times, AgriBusiness (cover), Waikato Business Review, Farmers Weekly, NZ Herald Country and Radio New Zealand.
